Public Counsel’s Kathryn Eidmann Named to the Daily Journal’s 2021 Top 40 Under 40 List

Kathryn Eidmann is a supervising senior attorney with Opportunity Under Law

Public Counsel is thrilled to share that Kathryn Eidmann, supervising senior attorney of Public Counsel’s Opportunity Under Law project, has been named as one of California’s top 40 lawyers under 40 by the Daily Journal. The annual list celebrates the achievements of lawyers under the age of 40 in California.

Kathryn has done incredible work to advance education and children’s rights, demand and build systems of support for those who have experienced trauma, and dismantle the criminalization of poverty. We are so proud of Kathryn for her trailblazing leadership to fight for replicable solutions and systems that advance equity for communities across the nation. Thank you for all you do and congratulations, Kathryn!

“I have learned that we are all profoundly shaped by our experiences,” Eidmann said of the theory underpinning her cases. “We need to ask not what is wrong with you, but what has happened to you, and how can we help support and heal you.”

For a second year in a row, a Public Counsel attorney has been selected to the Top 40 Under 40 list. Last year, senior staff attorney Mary Tanagho Ross was named to the 2020 list.
