For more than 50 years, Public Counsel has fought for a more equitable and just society, and when confronted with the unique challenges of 2021, we did not let up. Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, partners, and pro bono volunteers, we helped thousands of clients during a time of terrible uncertainty and loss. We remain as dedicated as ever to providing legal services and support to those most in need, always while promoting the dignity and strength of those we serve.
As we reflect on our accomplishments and victories in 2021, we wanted to share this video that highlights some or our work:
As we look towards 2022, it is clear that the pandemic has exposed and exacerbated historic and entrenched inequities in our society in such a profound way that we cannot go back to business as usual as advocates. We at Public Counsel will emerge stronger, more creative, and more daring in our mission to ensure that no community is ever left behind again. We will fight to ensure that no one is at greater risk of sickness, death, or loss of livelihood and safety – left on the margins – because of their socioeconomic status, the color of their skin, or their zip code.
