What to Do if You’re a Victim

First, it’s important that you report the crime to a government agency. There are three options where you can report it:

  1. POLICE DEPARTMENT
    • Report the incident to your local police department and get an official police report of the incident that acts as proof of what happened to you.
  2. L.A. COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
    • 213-974-1452
    • Report the incident to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Notario Fraud Unit so they can press criminal charges against the Notario.
  3. L.A. COUNTY OFFICE OF IMMIGRANT AFFAIRS
    • 1-800-593-8222
    • https://oia.lacounty.gov/immigration-fraud/
    • Report the incident to the LA County Office of Immigrant Affairs, a part of the Consumer Protection Unit that protects consumers and prevents businesses from engaging in fraudulent activities or illegal business practices.

Second, it’s critical to find LICENSED lawyers who can provide immigration advice and services on your case.
