Overview

Thanks to the efforts of our pro bono partners in collaboration with L.A. County’s child welfare system and the court, Public Counsel has built a program that helps strengthen families and communities, finalizes adoptions for children in foster care, and supports families to access needed benefits and services completely free of charge.

The program began in 1997 and has expanded to help hundreds of families every year. Thanks to your support, and the generosity of hundreds of pro bono attorneys, we have celebrated the completion of over 10,000 adoptions!
