Fellowship Opportunities
Public Counsel welcomes fellowship applications. Applications for those proposing law school fellowships are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applications for those proposing 2025 Equal Justice Works or Skadden fellowship projects should be submitted by July 1, 2024. This year Public Counsel will consider fellowship proposals limited to those which fall within the scope of the following projects:

We do not have an application form separate from those used by the organizations that fund the fellowships. Students who are interested in a fellowship at Public Counsel should send their resume and a brief description of their proposed project directly to the Directing Attorney of the Public Counsel project with which they wish to work. Job Type, Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a 37.5-hour work week, and it is part of the bargaining unit. The salary is $75,000 for a recent grad or someone with 0-1 year experience. Public Counsel offers a competitive benefits package including:

- Option to enroll in a Flexible Spending Account;
- 403(b) retirement plan with elective contribution, and discretionary employer contribution after one year of employment;
- Employer-paid life insurance and disability plans;
- Generous paid time off and compensatory time up to 60 hours per calendar year; and
- On-site parking or public transportation reimbursement.
Public Counsel Vaccination Policy
Public Counsel requires vaccination against COVID-19 for all employees, including new hires.
